Carmen Bender, COTA/L - Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant Carmen joined Hi-Acres Manor in 2003.  She graduated from North Dakota State College of Science with an Associate degree in occupational therapy in 1997.  Carmen previously worked at the North Dakota State Hospital as a COTA/L.  She is a member of the North Dakota Occupational Therapy Association. As the program coordinator, Carmen oversees the restorative therapy program at Hi-Acres Manor.

Christine Michaelson, PTA - Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant Christine has been a part of the Hi-Acres Manor Team since 2003. She graduated from Lake Area Technical Institute in Watertown South Dakota with an Associate degree in physical therapy. Prior to joining Hi-Acres Manor Christine worked at Altru Health Systems as a PTA in a variety of settings including acute care, outpatient and inpatient rehab, pediatric, and long-term care.

Both Carmen and Christine work closely with the Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and Speech Therapists from the Jamestown Hospital to provide direct quality care to our residents. 

 

In 2007, Carmen and Christine implemented the Employee Wellness Program at Hi-Acres Manor. The program promotes and encourages healthy life style choices. They also complete physical capability screens for new employees.
