Certified Medication Assistant II

This course has been approved by the North Dakota Board of Nursing and provides for North Dakota certification as a Certified Medication Assistant II.

The training provides basic background information and routine procedures important to anyone responsible for medications in a basic or skilled long-term care setting. The course relates specific body systems to the medications that affect each system. The special needs of the elderly are considered. The course includes 48 hours of classroom time followed by 32 hours of supervised clinical practice within a long-term care or assisted living facility.
